Just spent seven days in Mesquite Nevada with God and several amazing Godly people. My cup is full to the brim and I am recharged. There is nothing that can compare to going on a vocation with Jesus. It was seven days soaking in the word and prayer. Sharing life’s lessons and amazing fellowship with fellow believers. Some might say that sounds boring but trust me hanging with Jesus by the pool quiet enough to hear Him speak and feeling the comfort of his presents really puts everything into perspective. You walk away feeling strengthen and at peace. I am blessed to be alive in this day with all that is going on in the world because I am reminded that knowing and living the truth, I have in me what it takes to make this a better place. I am fully armed and can go to war and fight the battles the world is facing on my knees and I don’t even have to leave my living room.
Amazing when you think about it, your prayers are more powerful than any weapon the enemy can launch towards us. Everywhere I go I am hearing people say, both believers and none believers, there is so much evil and disasters going on in the world. Yes there is no doubt about that, but God is still in power and rules. We were forewarned about these days that would come upon us and to be ready and fully armed. We were warned about men that will be over taken by evil and the many disasters around the globe. I heard a newscaster say recently that if you’ve never read the book of Revelations, just pick up a newspaper. I laughed because he was right. The bible speaks of these days not only in Revelations but in several scriptures throughout God’s word. It’s time for all of us who know the truth to fight for those that are lost including our political leaders.
We need to wake up and fight for our cities, our children, for those we love and as well for those we don’t. We should be praying for tortured souls that we fear that may be a threat to themselves and to others. The love we possess in our hearts will keep us strong. We need to believe that prayers are our most powerful weapon, as God has shown us over and over again throughout history. Together we can make a difference and this a better world. It is written the earth quakes and storms will come. But the battles of darkness can be won by people like you and me. Prayer worriers going into battle and evil defeated by the power of our pleas and raising our hands to heaven. Isn’t that great? You don’t even have to leave your home, you can stay in your PJ’s.
Your prayers matter. They count and believe God, they can be the reason for change this world so badly needs. Next time you go for your coffee break, take Jesus with you and make it a prayer break. Maybe even make it a habit.
Trust in the power of prayer to make the difference.
While I was in Mesquite I was given the opportunity to sit down with the neighbors of the Vegas shooter. We sat around at a neighborhood BBQ and shared our views, feeling, fears and hopes and there were tears and many hugs. We had wonderful moments of laughter too as life must go forward. I sat listening to these beautiful elderly people share and reach out to comfort one another. Sometimes evil can be as close as right next door and you not even know it, So we pray and keep God closer.
