Many of the women we minister to have come from unimaginable backgrounds that sent them on the path they live on today. I thought I would share with you the hearts of a few inmates. One day going into prison God laid on my heart to ask the ladies four simple questions. The first was what they dreamt for their future when they were little girls? The second was what they dreamt for today? Third, what would stop them from seeing their dreams become a reality? The last question was what they prayed to God for now? I hope you will see in their answers why we love what we do in prison miniseries. I’ll share one with you each week at the end of my message.
Here is the heart of one inmate.
When I was little, I prayed that one day I would have a family of my very own.
Now I dream that I will be with that family again one day. I pray that my faith will stay strong and I will continue to walk in faith when I get out.
What would stop me from seeing that dream come true is if I walk away from God and go back to my addictions.
What I pray for is that my whole family will come to know Jesus and turn their lives over to Him. I have seen so many lives destroyed. My love for my family is so strong I don’t want to see them go down the wrong path as I did.

God lives in prison, He lives in every unit and in every cell because that is where some of His children are living. We need to teach them how to take God with them when they leave prison. We need to redirect them on a new path away from the darkness and despair. In most cases, the only world they’ve ever known. If you are interested in visiting Jesus in prison, there are several ways to do this without actually walking into a prison. Just to mention a few, you can become a pen pal or help out by donating Christian books to your local prisons or donate funds to support the many Christian programs. If you prayerfully decide to volunteer to go in and share the gospel, I highly recommend it, the rewards are indescribable. Contact your local Prison Fellowship Ministry for more information on all the ways you can help to provide a life line of hope for prisoners. Please join me every Monday for a new message of love.
Next week I will also be showing a powerful video of a mother calling her daughter to tell her that she has been arrested and she will no longer be coming home. It’s a very dramatic segment of a video I had made in prison to bring awareness to the public about the many mothers that are living behind bars. A call that may be very emotional for some viewers and happens far to often. A call that we must all do what we can to bring to end. We can’t forget the children that are left behind. Most often many of these women were in prison long before they were even arrested. This video is an eye opener.
For my personal life line of hope, read God’s Unbreakable Love where I take you on an incredible journey of how God rebuilt me from the inside out.
Many blessings
Love Holly,
