The World will tell you that God is not for everyone but just a chosen few.
The Lord says “come all that are burden and I will give you rest.”
There are some people that will tell you that it’s too late, that you have said too much and gone too far.
The Lord says “I am just to forgive, I love you.”
There are some that may say that God is harsh and doesn’t care about you.
The Lord says “For I loved the world so much I sent my only begotten Son to die for you.”
Whoever believes in Him will not perish but live forever.
Some will say, “where was this God when you needed him or when you were down and had no one to turn to?” What they may not understand is that it was the world and its ways that put you there.
The Lord will not interfere with your own free will, but ask him for anything in the name of Jesus, the one who died for you and it will be given. You must then trust and believe for God’s ways are not the same as ours.
The world will tell you not to trust in a God that you can’t see.
The Lord says “blessed are those that believe yet cannot see. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see. Have faith as small as a mustard seed and you can move mountains.”
The world says to hate those that hurt you. After all they deserve it and you still feel the pain they caused you.
The Lord says “forgive them as I have forgiven you.” Not forgiving is causing you more pain than the first wound. I recently heard it said this way. Not forgiving someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to get sick.
The world and its ways have convinced you that you are too weak and that you can’t possibly live up to God’s expectations and the life style that He desires for you.
God knows you can’t do it alone. The Lord says that the Joy of him that is in you will give you strength. “I came that you would live life abundantly.”
The world says it’s tough out there and you can’t trust anyone. Just look out for number one.
The Lord says, “Be not afraid but be strong and courageous for the Lord your God is always with you.”
The world will tell you that serving and living with God is boring.
The Lord says that He will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.
The world will tell you that you can’t trust God will stay with you when you fall. After all people have dropped you when you needed them the most.
The Lord says I do not think as the world thinks. I do not love as the world loves. I know your every coming and going both now and forever. I knew you before you were born. Ask and you will receive.
The world tells you that such a loving God who is so merciful wouldn’t allow so many to suffer and go hungry, but if we were to all share what was given to us that are stewards of much there would be plenty to go around. What we must ask ourselves is what have we done to make a difference or to help? Remember our gift of free will.
The Lord said to us in Matthew 25:35-40 I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you took me in. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you visited me. What you do on to others you do on to me.
The world will tell you that there is plenty of time to think of such things later.
Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.
It is said in Proverbs 27:1, Do not boast about tomorrow for you do not know what a day may bring.
